Liberal, liberal you are so liberal

The “liberal” label is cast upon all who oppose the President’s plan of making the rich richer and the poor poorer. Kathleen Harris, in announcing her intention to run for Senate with the hope of unseating Senator Nelson, calls the senator “liberal.” During the 2004 election, Senator Kerry was called the most “liberal” senator.Liberal is such an ugly name now. It seems to mean weak, or stuck in the same groove. The feeble Democratic Party remains silent. Here is a definition of the word “liberal” from one dictionary:
Liberal: Favorable to progress or reform as in political or religious affairs, designating or pertaining to a political party advocating measures of progressive political reform. Pertaining to, based on or having views or policies advocating individual freedom of action and _expression …..free from prejudice or bigotry tolerant...free of or not bound by traditional or conventional ideas values: open-minded.Another dictionary defines Liberal as:Not limited to or by established, traditional, orthodox, or authoritarian attitudes, views, or dogmas; free from bigotry. Favoring proposals for reform, open to new ideas for progress, and tolerant of the ideas and behavior of others; broad-minded. Of, relating to, or characteristic of liberalism. A person who favors a political philosophy of progress and reform and the protection of civil liberties.Other words that are similar in meaning are: broad-minded; generous; progressive; and, reformist. After contemplating these definitions, I ponder: what is wrong with being liberal? Many great policies have come from “liberal” policy makers, such as social security, and medical and maternity leave.
Be proud to be liberal because the opposite seems stagnant.
Conservative: disposed to preserve existing condition, institutions or to restore traditional ones and to limit change, unprogressive.

" You are doing a heck of a job"

Those are the words our President used to praise Fema director after the mismanagement of his department to help the victims of hurricane katrina.

Bush said he was going to change Washington and he is a man of his words.
Today the above praise you doing a heck of a job now means you are an incompetent ass and giving medals like he did to Tenet after his misinformation makes those medals almost worthless from now on.
So yes he have really change things in Washington because if Mr. Joe Blow boast that the president said he was doing a heck of a job..we could say well thats no a compliment.

And if your boss tells you, that you are doing a heck of a job make sure you ask him if its by President Bush standards.

In a new development it seems like Brownie " you doing a heck of job" was not a statement believed by the person who said it ..President Bush that is because it seems the "good FEMA director was recalled to Washington and a more experienced person given the man in charge on the ground.

Prayer Answered ??

Did the public prayer from Pat Robertson asking for another vacancy just got answered.
I wonder if Chief Justice Rehnquist death was how he wanted his prayer answered but then again I am betting Holy Zealot Pat Robertson will take it anyway he can.

There must have been a lot of praising God this morning from the Christian conservatives like Piggy Zealot Falwell and Doofus Dobson and Boring Kennedy.

What this means to the good USA ..just another way for the continued splitting of the people as both extremes goto battle.

The Cost of Bad Policies - Bad Judgement

The war in Iraq has cost billions of dollars and has also cause the demand of oil to increase and as a result increases the price of crude oil.
Another resource that have direct impact on the community is the National Guard.
The National Guard is fighting a war that should not be in Iraq.
The devastation of hurricane katrina has brought to light the fact that quite a number of national guard personnel needed for the rescue and security is in Iraq.

Now I am just hoping that Bush reverse his decision to make the tax cuts permanent and I am also hoping that he will not do what he has done when disaster strikes so far..that is to cut taxes.

Now would be a perfect time to have the oil companies and halliburton do something for the better of USA instead of milking her for all it is worth.

Pat Robertson is a FREAK

Pat Robertson has indirectly called for the assasination of a democratically elected leader of a Nation...That person is Chavez the country is Venezuela.

We all know that the religious right is full of zealots and idiots like those people who bombs abortion clinics and kill doctors who performs abortions.

Lets hope one of his idiot followers does not try to do his biddings in the name of God.

National Security

Do the conservatives have the best approach to national security? I know that the war in Iraq is not working. Another less obvious failure to protect the citizens of the US has flown under the radar of the press – the potential danger that lies in outsourcing jobs to other countries.

I am sure by now most people have called an airline company or their credit card company’s 800 number and the person on the other line is from India, Phillipines or Pakistan (just to name a few). Of course a lot of other businesses outsource jobs, such as some medical companies. The person who reads your MRI or other medical test could be sent via internet to another country for reading. The only area where this outsourcing gets any attention is in the area of engineering.

However, I would argue that there is not enough attention where these workers from other countries have access to your name and address and social security numbers. They also have access to bank accounts and credit card accounts. We know that the Phillipines and Pakistan have Al-Qaida sympathizers and those who support Bin Laden are very clever people and meticulous planners. How easy would it be for them to work for these companies who outsource? How easily could they access social security numbers, bank accounts, and addresses? Talk about identity theft. What safeguards are in place???

They could be using your address to apply for an American Visa.

Think about it.

President Bush : It's time to look after the American People

President Bush's policies have benefited only one segment of the population -the rich people.
Tax cuts and the war in Iraq has really lined the pockets of rich men and women.
The Iraq war has resulted in oil price rising to $64 per barrel and the average price for fuel for our automobiles now is about $2.30 per gallon. Halliburton has made out well with tax payers money. The oil company has posted big profits ..Exxon-Mobil and Shell has posted $7 billion and $5 billion dollars respectively this quarter and what does President Bush do ? He gives them a tax break of about $14 billion.
It should bring shock to every rational individual in the USA that the President would dare give a tax break to a company that made billions of dollars in a quarter..HELLO !!!!.

It is my belief that President Bush has more than paid back his oil buddies for bringing his oil company from rock bottom by organizing a buy out.( Reference Arbusto Energy Inc buy out by Spectrum 7 and yet again when Harken Energy bought Spectrum).

The time has come to bring people out of poverty and give people a living wage.
Time to address under-employment and the continued practice of out sourcing jobs overseas.
Time for sound environmental friendly policies.
Time to end America dependence on foreign oil and invest in renewable energy.
