National Security

Do the conservatives have the best approach to national security? I know that the war in Iraq is not working. Another less obvious failure to protect the citizens of the US has flown under the radar of the press – the potential danger that lies in outsourcing jobs to other countries.

I am sure by now most people have called an airline company or their credit card company’s 800 number and the person on the other line is from India, Phillipines or Pakistan (just to name a few). Of course a lot of other businesses outsource jobs, such as some medical companies. The person who reads your MRI or other medical test could be sent via internet to another country for reading. The only area where this outsourcing gets any attention is in the area of engineering.

However, I would argue that there is not enough attention where these workers from other countries have access to your name and address and social security numbers. They also have access to bank accounts and credit card accounts. We know that the Phillipines and Pakistan have Al-Qaida sympathizers and those who support Bin Laden are very clever people and meticulous planners. How easy would it be for them to work for these companies who outsource? How easily could they access social security numbers, bank accounts, and addresses? Talk about identity theft. What safeguards are in place???

They could be using your address to apply for an American Visa.

Think about it.
